Eileen Dunn-Kell is our executive chef for the 2010 season, Her custom menus throughout the summer will keep you coming back.  In addition, this year she will be joined by our Winter House chef Devin Finnigan, who will cook three nights a week in July and August (Wed-Fri.) Devin trained with Jonathan Chase, worked with Chip Angel at the Brooklin Inn, and has traveled to Tuscany, which certainly contributed to her sumptuous, artistic cooking flair.

Eileen has been creating culinary delights for over 20 years. When she came to Maine, she worked at the Castine Inn, under Richard Langsner, who she believes was an absolute genius in the kitchen and taught her much.

Since then, she has worked at the areas finest restaurants and independently. She was chef at the Surry Inn, Left Bank, Jonathans and Cleonese, working along side area greats Jonathan Chase, Rich Hanson, and Lise Derocher, Head Chef at College of the Atlantic. She ran her own lunch cart behind the Grasshopper shop in Ellsworth, and has catered in a vast array of venus, including past seasons at the Lookout.

Her fine dining sensibilities, experience with many ethnic cuisines, and ability to meet vegetarian needs, will provide you with the finest of dining and catering experiences this summer.

  • Complimentary Breakfast is served from 7:30 am to 9:30 am for our Inn guests.  We offer full breakfasts such as country eggs, fresh fruit, cereal, or our famous buttermilk blueberry pancakes.  Guests in the cottages are welcome; however, the cost of the breakfast is not included with cottage rental but can be purchased with advance notice.

  • The dining room seats forty.  More room is available and used for special parties and weddings.

  • Delicious catering for a your event is available. We offer a variety of dining options as well as locations. See the catering page for more information.
